Angels???

Well... something very "weird? beautiful? terrifying?" happened two nights ago...

Ok... here is what happened:
That night I was about to put Natalia in her crib... so, we have our routine and we followed it... Natalia seemed to be tired... but... when I was in the rocking chair... all of a sudden she was completely awake... and not only that... but she was looking at "something" in the dark of her room.... she started smiling SHE EVEN STARTED GIGGLING, LAUGHING and making all sort of noises she had NEVER made before and she seemed TOO excited and trying to "grab" something in the air.... I REALLY REALLY REALLY got scared... she was acting like she had never acted before... not even when she is really happy to see me or when I am dancing for her.... I had a very weird feeling... and I started praying that if she was seeing "something" it would be angels from God.... I kept praying and trying to put her to sleep and even turning her head in another direction but she wouldn't want that... I got so scared that I went downstairs where Josh was watching TV and I told him what happened and that I was really scared.... (Too bad! Because I should Trust GOD MORE I KNOW... but the whole thing was just weird) .... Josh looked at her and Natalia seemed "back to normal" now... in fact... she wasn't excited at all... She fell asleep right away so I was going to put her in her crib but I asked Josh to go with me to her room so we could both pray for her (I always do that, but this time I felt I needed Josh there) ... So, we went upstairs, put her in her crib, prayed and left the room... I closed the door (as I always do so the cat won't get in) and that was it... I went downstairs to wash her bottles and turned on the monitor in the kitchen so I could hear her....

when I turned the monitor on... I just heard her SCREAM!

I looked at Josh so he would come upstairs with me again because I still was feeling very unsettled... he followed me upstairs and when I got to the door of her room.... the door just WOULDN'T OPEN! ... Natalia's scream was just a "ONE TIME" thing... no more crying... I couldn't hear her at all... and the door WAS JUST LOCKED! ... THAT WASN'T POSSIBLE! THOSE DOOR KNOBS we have don't even have a way to lock! they have never locked! The door knob is one of those that are just so the door will close but not lock.... I felt the blood rushed down to my feet... I felt cold! and I just looked at Josh (I can imagine my face) and I said: "It won't open!" HE looked at me (scared too now) and he tried to open the door... IT WOULDN'T OPEN! I just started praying! IN SPANISH! I couldn't stop saying: "Senor Jesucristo por favor que se abra esta puerta!" I can tell you something... Josh looked terrified too! .... he tried to calm me down and he tried to seem peaceful and just said "This is weird!" ... He ran to the basement to get some screwdrivers.... He tried everything... he even removed the doorknob and NOTHING... THAT DOOR WAS COMPLETELY SHUT! .... I at least wanted to hear her cry! It wasn't possible she wasn't crying! she usually gets scared even with her own yawning ... even when I leave her room the noise of the wood under my feet makes her cry a little bit... we were making so much noise trying to open that door and NOTHING! I could hear nothing! ... I prayed that at least I would hear her cry... and there she was ... some "whining" but NOTHING MAJOR... but I had heard her.... Josh ran downstairs for the drill ... and he was drilling trying to do something... THE NOISE WAS SO LOUD... And Natalia wasn't crying... just that little "whining" once in a while... Josh ended up REMOVING THE FRAME of the door... and we could finally get in there after about 30 minutes that seemed the longest in my life!

In a very weird way the thing that "works" to "close the door" was "locked" ... the door knob had broken (who knows how!) and even when we removed it... that thing was still stuck....

Natalia was very peaceful, kind of smiling and with her eyes open but very sleepy...

I KNEW IT! SHE HAD BEEN SEEING ANGELS! some of you might think I am crazy... But I knew it wasn't normal the way she was acting before all that happened... I am sure the angels "knew" what was going to happen.... and they were there even before all that so she would be happy and peaceful during all that crazy moment!

I could barely sleep that night... My heart was still jumping out of my chest for a while.... I praise the Lord because I KNOW HE is always protecting us! and even Natalia was fine and everything was OK His angels were there with her so she wouldn't get terribly scared with all that noise (drilling, kicking, pushing etc.)

I had to share this... I can't stop thinking about it all...

By the way... Natalia had a very peaceful night... after Josh installed the door frame back and a new door knob she was back in her crib sleeping.

... Do you think I am crazy thinking she was literally seeing angels? ... Do you think it was all just a coincidence?

I have still been trying to see if she acts like that again ... and nothing.... she is just all smiley and some panting here and there... that's it...

GIVE THANKS!

Well... This month we celebrate THANKSGIVING.... But we should Thank everyday for all the Blessings from the LORD, for those things we receive and we don't receive... we should GIVE THANKS!

Are you thankful with GOD? Take this opportunity and think about all those things that God did for you this year...

I want to give thanks for:

1. Salvation! (That's always the greatest! This and every year!)
2. My husband! Praise the Lord for another year together!
3. This year my daughter was born! What a great and wonderful blessing! God has provided everything we've needed for her and even more!
4. My family in Mexico, Thank God I can always be in touch with them and that God allowed us to travel and be with them the beginning of the year.
5. For my mom and brother who could visit us before Natalia was born.
6. God saved our house! We were about to lose it and God saved it!
7. My Husband's family! They are all so loving with me! Thank God!
8. My friends! I thank God because they are wonderful! And for all those new friends I've met (Thank God for the C-moms!!!)
9. Church! God has provided with a wonderful church, great pastor and wonderful brothers and sisters there!

There are so many more things... I will probably keep adding... But that is my initial list! ;)

When will HE come back?

Listening to the Radio the other day, I heard a great analogy about Jesus coming back... and I want to share it with you...

The person talking said that Jesus is of course coming back for His church... one day, we don't know exactly when. Some people debate about it, many think He will take His church BEFORE the great tribulation, some others think it will be during, and some others think it will be after....

This has been a topic of discussion for many many many years... and I know we will never really all agree on this....

Here is the analogy:

"There was a family and they were all fighting... Someone arrived to their house and saw them all arguing with each other, the visitor asked: -Why are you all fighting? What is this all about?- And one of them answered:
-You'll see, William, our oldest brother, has been gone for many years and we are waiting for him, we know he is coming back but my mom thinks it will be next month, my sister says he will be here next week, my dad thinks he is coming back with some friends, and I think he is coming back on his own and it will be until next year... so, that's what we are discussing about because we want to be ready when he comes- The visitor left them arguing so they continued, fighting with each other when all of a sudden the door opened and there he was: William! he was back and he found them fighting about his return"

It doesn't sound very smart, huh?

I really liked this analogy, I think neither of us really know when HE is coming back.... but we should be ready all the time... we don't know if He is coming today... I remember I asked my ex-pastor many years ago: "When do you think the end of the world' will be?" He said: "I don't know but for many people the end of the world is today"... yes... we are so worried about knowing "Dates and times" and we don't even know we will live tomorrow.... we don't know if we will make it the end of the day....

So, How do we want HIM to find us? let's all be ready for HIS return... Today!

President Elect: Barack Obama

Well... as we all know Obama won.... did America win though??

What do you feel about Barack Obama being elected as President of the United States? I know there are different opinions about it...

In my case ... I felt sick yesterday when I heard the news.... I know we have to trust God with it... so ... I have much praying to do...

So, please post your thoughts here.... I want to know how most of my friends, contacts and whoever reads this blog feels about Obama winning...

In my case I can say: "Help us Lord!"
